Not gonna lie, I just made this pumpkin spice protein smoothie about an hour ago and at the first sip I grabbed my computer. I immediately knew I had to put this on the blog. I absolutely know you’re going to melt when you try this!

First I should start by confessing that I am soaking up all the pumpkin spice this year. I do every year, but this year we moved from no-seasons Florida to four-mild seasons Virginia and the crispness in the air and color on the leaves is giving me all happy feels this year. I’ve been baking up a literal pumpkin storm in my kitchen, so please excuse me while I head over to purchase stock in the pumpkin puree business. You might enjoy this swoon-worthy Pumpkin Muffin recipe as well!

Anywho. I’ll keep this short and sweet.

Pumpkin Spice Protein Smoothie

As with pretty much all of my recipes, I made this using fairly healthy ingredients. The one exception is the peanut butter. You could easily use almond butter or unsweetened peanut butter, but I personally enjoy my regular, name brand peanut butter that contains all the normal things that make peanut butter so scrumptious.

You may actually be shocked to learn that there is peanut butter in a pumpkin smoothie. But I assure you. It is delicious. There are also bananas. I dunno, the recipe doesn’t make sense but this pumpkin spice protein smoothie is just oh so yummy.

You will thank me after the first sip! No seriously, go DM me on Instagram (@jenniferwagner.co) and tell me what you think!

A Closer Look At The Recipe

Just an FYI, you do not have to use protein powder in this recipe. I think it all depends on what exactly you’re using it for. If you’re having this pumpkin spice protein smoothie for breakfast, I’d go ahead and use protein powder. I used a half scoop, but you can use a whole scoop if you want.

I prefer this protein powder because the ingredients are super clean and it doesn’t have tons of calories. The taste is good too, which is the ultimate plus. You can get it from Amazon.

Another thing I do to make this pumpkin spice protein smoothie so delicious that you don’t realize it’s healthy, is I throw in a table spoon of this stuff. I know I know. You see this in nearly every single sweet-treat recipe on my blog but I’m telling you – this time… TAKE MY ADVICE! Go to Amazon and grab just one bag of this delicious sweetener! You will open the bag and the smell itself will overwhelm you with happiness. I use it in my coffee, tea, and for baking. I literally don’t have actual sugar in my pantry. I ONLY use this.

It’s called Pyure and it’s stevia-based but it’s unlike any stevia you’ve tasted. So if you’re a Stevia critic and you think you hate the taste, try this one last stevia blend before you write it off for good!

Best Blender For Making Smoothies

What’s the best blender for making this delicious pumpkin spice protein smoothie recipe?

Well is a very loaded question! Hehe! Everyone has their own opinion on that, but I’ll tell you this. Recently I wanted my mom to taste one of my delicious smoothie recipes. But as I was telling her about it, I realized she didn’t have a decent blender! So I logged onto Amazon and ordered this one for a modest $50) to be sent to her house. She received it within a couple of days and was absolutely shocked at how powerful and convenient it was.

There are a thousand different blenders out there, but I personally like anything Ninja. For the longest time I used a Ninja mini food processor for smoothies. Eventually I upgraded and got this one. I absolutely love it. I make anything from soups to smoothies in this thing and it works amazingly!

In a nutshell, I literally bought this brand for my mom whom I love to pieces, so take that for what it’s worth!
