Wondering how to cut a spaghetti squash? Once I tell you the trick you’ll be adding this delicious veggie to your menu in no time! It’s easy peasy.

The first (and second, third, and fourth) time I tried to cook a spaghetti squash for dinner, I nearly gave up. Trying to cut that big round veggie that everyone raged about was nearly impossible! I even purchased a sharper knife to get the job done. But nope. I still broke a sweat.

Then I learned how to cut a spaghetti squash. I learned the trick from a random person on Instagram. From there, I just had to try it!

I had been seeing so many people swap out spaghetti squash for their regular spaghetti noodles, saving them hundreds of carbs and lots of calories! But how was everyone doing this so easily?!

Well. That’s what I’m here to tell you today.

How To Cut A Spaghetti Squash

All you have to do is throw the entire spaghetti squash, whole and raw, into the oven. Cook it at 350 for about 40 minutes or so. This will vary based upon your oven type and temperature, but you’re basically looking for the veggie to have just a slight brown tint to it.

You take it out of the oven, let it cool a bit, and voila! You’re ready to cut your spaghetti squash!

It will literally cut so easily. All you’ll need to do then, is scoop out the stringy, seedy stuff with a spoon, and grab a fork to loosen the “noodles” up!

What Else You Can Make

You can basically use spaghetti squash as a replacement for most dishes that you’d normally use regular spaghetti squash noodles for. You can also use spaghetti squash halves and load them up with meat, cheeses, and veggies of your choice, and throw back into the oven. I always search Pinterest for my favorite options; I love trying new things regularly!
